ABOUT US
We are two strangers turned friends who adore San Francisco, our friends, and our sweet doggos that are pictured below. We have individually met so many new people in this city through park birthdays, engagement parties, and housewarmings. As our friendship grew, we discovered a shared passion not just for the events themselves, but for the planning behind them. Thus, Fog and Fête was born.
The Name "Fog and Fête"
The fog in SF is better known as Karl. Just as Karl shows up differently in every neighborhood, we want to show up and celebrate SF differently.
Fête is the French word for party. Some might call this name Fog and Fête a bit unexpected coming from two gals who do not speak French; but that’s exactly what we were going for - we want to encourage people to celebrate more of the unexpected. Think: Your pet's birthday, a job offer (after 200 rejections), your 100-day Duolingo streak.
The Planners
When we’re not at our day jobs or coming up with clever party themes, we are out and about trying new wine bars in the city, walking our derpy dogs, or staying in to play a friendly (competitive) game of Scrabble. Michaella has lived in SF for over 10 years and Virginia for 6, and both bring their bold energy to every project they work on. Having seen the city through major highs and lows, we are both very familiar with SF and all the hidden gems it has to offer!
